The 96th General Assembly will convene January 14, and Senator Tim Bivins says the spring legislative session will begin with a trial to consider the impeachment of Governor Rod Blagojevich.
On January 9, the House voted 114 yes - 1 no - 1 present - 2 not voting to adopt House Resolution 1671, which calls for the impeachment of Governor Blagojevich.
Representative Milt Patterson of Chicago voted no, Representative Elga Jefferies of Chicago voted present, Representative Ken Dunkin of Chicago had an excused absence and thus did not vote, and no one has been named to replace Representative Wyvetter Younge of East St. Louis, who died December 26." /> Skip to Main Content
