Senator Tim Bivins’ legislative office has come in under budget for the second year in a row and he has returned money to the state.

“Despite all appearances to the contrary, overspending and unbalanced budgets are not the norms for all offices in Illinois state government,” said Senator Bivins. ”For the second year in a row, my office paid its bills and finished the fiscal year with money to spare, which we returned to the state’s General Revenue Fund.”

The 45th District Senator returned $6,775.80 in Fiscal Year 2009 funds to the state’s coffers, and gave back $6,760.57 for Fiscal Year 2008.
