The National Multiple Sclerosis Society has named Senator Tim Bivins "Legislator of the Year" for his efforts to “make life better for people living with multiple sclerosis.”

The 45th District Senator worked with the Chapter’s MS Activists, supporting and getting its legislation passed through the Senate. He and his wife, Terri, have also volunteered at the Walk MS event in Rockford for the past two years.

“It is an honor to do what I can, as a private citizen and as a state lawmaker, to promote the work of such an outstanding organization as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society,” Senator Bivins said. “With a 50-state network of chapters, this organization is working on many fronts to fulfill its vision: ‘A World Free of MS.’”" />
