Senator Tim Bivins had a busy week in the State Capitol.

Illinois lawmakers returned to Springfield May 13, and in just two days, four bills sponsored by Bivins were debated and approved by Senate committees.

“The Senate is now in the midst of the second round of committee action, considering legislation that has been passed by the House of Representatives,” Senator Bivins said. “Four of the House bills I am currently sponsoring have been approved by committees this week and will now have their chance for debate by the full Senate.”

The bills moved by the 45th District Senator this week cover agriculture, ethics, local schools and county jails.
